Privacy Policy

The SHARE website is maintained by SHARE (SMR) Inc. This Privacy Policy applies to all the publicly accessible pages on the SHARE website located at http://www.share.com.au

Users of the SHARE site are entitled to expect that any information as a result of that use will be treated within the terms of the New South Wales government's privacy responsibilities and obligations. Website feedback/response

SHARE collects information from visitors who provide feedback on the website, technical problems and individual articles. This feedback is used to administer and refine the service.

The SHARE website does not use cookies.

What we do with the information we collect

The information collected during each visit is aggregated with similar logged information and published in reports in order for SHARE to identify patterns of usage of the site. This will assist in improving the website and the material and services within the site.

No data that can be used to identify an individual collected from the website will be disclosed to any other party.

No persons email address will be entered into any email list, unless that person gives their permission.

Exceptions

SHARE reserves the right to collect, use and disclose to relevant authorities more extensive information than stated above where authorised or required by law, or for law enforcement purposes. This may include the following circumstances:

• Unauthorised attempts to access files which are not published SHARE pages
• Unauthorised tampering or interference with files published on the SHARE site
• Unauthorised attempts to index the contents of the SHARE site by other sites

• Attempts to otherwise compromise the security of the web server, breach the laws of the State of New South Wales or Commonwealth of Australia, or interfere with the use of the SHARE site by other users.

In the event of an investigation, SHARE will provide access to our data to any law enforcement agency that is authorised or required by subpoena or by search warrant or other statutory instrument to inspect that data.

SHARE takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of the data we hold from such risks as loss or unauthorised access, destruction, use, modification, misuse or disclosure. Information collected is stored in an appropriately secure format and held by SHARE for archival purposes.
